Digital Preview Booth Overview
The Digital System provides the ability to use Blu-Ray players with high definition for Preview operations. Two options for Preview booths are available. Stand alone dedicated Preview booths or Multi-purpose arcade booths.
In the stand alone option a booth is set up to only enable Preview operation. The customer gives the clerk the Blu-Ray or regular DVD from your store previewable movies inventory. The clerk inserts the movie into the player located at the clerk station and clicks the corresponding booth number on their computer monitor to enable preview. The customer proceeds to the booth and inserts money into the booths bill acceptor. The minimum start dollar amount is displayed on the screen. The customer has the option to insert more money if more time is desired. A notice will appear at 60 seconds remaining to notify the customer that more money is required to continue. The minimum start dollar amount as well as the time allocated is set in the Booth Administration settings. Booths of varying size, i.e. 27inch or 42inch can be set for different start amounts and time per dollar.
The second option is the Multi-Purpose arcade booth. Designated arcade booths can be switched from arcade to preview by the clerk if the booth is not in use. The customer hands the clerk the movie he wants to preview and the clerk starts the preview mode by clicking the appropriate booth into preview mode and inserting the disc into the player. A blue screen appears in the booth letting the customer know it is ready for preview and the amount required to activate the movie. The customer has the option to insert more money if more time is desired. A notice will appear at 60 seconds remaining to notify the customer that more money is required to continue. The minimum start dollar amount as well as the time allocated is set in the Booth Administration settings. Booths of varying size, i.e. 27 inch or 42 inch can be set for different start amounts and time per dollar.
The customer has complete control of the movie using the touchpad in the booth, as if he was using the remote control. If the player is connected to the internet, the customer will also have use of the interactive extra features of the disc which helps keep the customer in the booth longer generating additional income.
There is no limit to the number or combination of previewable booths. One or all of the booths can be either dedicated or switchable or any combination.
Shift, daily and weekly money reports will indicate the amount of preview income. The preview income is separated on the money reports and included in total receipts so you are able to differentiate between arcade and preview income. Money reports can be automatically generated, printed and amounts emailed to designated individuals at predetermined times or when the money cleared button is used at the bill acceptor enclosures.
